Courses prepare individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills for maintenance of health, prevention of illness, and care of the ill. Through partnerships with area health care providers, courses will provide students both classroom knowledge and onthe- job training in a variety of health care related occupations. Advanced courses will provide students the opportunity to engage in cooperative education at area health care providers. Courses are aligned with the Medicaid Nurse Aide (MNA) program which gives students the opportunity to earn MNA certification. This certification is the first step to becoming a Licenced Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN).
